Caboose

Caboose 4

Kaleidoscope Red Dragon

Owned and Loved by Terry Farnping and Tom Springford

Caboose grew up a singleton, and after having the experience of raising one lone pup, I total understand when Kate says that, if she could special-order what she wants, she would have a singleton every time.  Raising a singleton is just like raising a puppy you buy at 8 weeks of age; they get all the individual attention, they hang out in parts of the house where it is impractical to allow an entire litter to run amok, they start potty-training well ahead of their be-siblinged peers, etc.  As a result, they are almost invariably the Best Dogs Ever.

Based on personality and smarts alone, I would love to have kept this little red dragon for my own.  However, it was clear to me early on that he was not a show prospect; and even if he had been, I do NOT need another boy.

As always seems to happen with my puppies, though, Caboose went just where he belonged.  Terry is looking forward to obedience and search-and-rescue with Caboose, and I think he is going to make her an AWESOME partner.

Caboose also has his own Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Caboose-On-The-Loose/357302294464991?fref=ts .  Check it out!

Chillin' pool-side. Poor, deprived puppy. Too bad he doesn't get to have any fun.

"Garrrrrrr!"

“Garrrrrrr!”

"Gotcha!"

“Gotcha!”

When all else fails, sit on it.

When all else fails, sit on it.

Last one standing. Or sitting, at any rate. I am not surprised.
